Welcome to Auberge Esprit - "The Pointe", Esprit’s exclusive riverside lodge. Our private 5 acre peninsula is virtually surrounded by the Upper Ottawa River, nestled between Eastern Canada’s most dramatic sunrise and awe-inspiring sunset.
The main lodge is a remnant of an era belonging to loggers and lumber barons. Built of solid pine, its aged wood and towering fieldstone fireplace tell stories of a past long forgotten in today’s busy world. It is the perfect setting for your rafting weekend as well as for private parties, corporate team building and secluded retreats. Whether you are joining us on one of our adventure programs or simply relaxing and soaking in the atmosphere, you will always feel at home at “The Pointe”. At your disposal is the complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, hammocks, climbing wall, volleyball court, giant sundeck and our “happy hour Mecca”.

Situated on the banks of the Ottawa River, Auberge Esprit is ideally located mid-way between the world famous Algonquin and Gatineau Parks.
Auberge Esprit, accredited by Hostelling International (network of lodgings offering clean, comfortable and affordable accomodation), is a unique, rustic lodge catering to travelers, backpackers, course participants and rafters alike. Groups welcome!
Auberge Esprit is well off the beaten tourist track yet is still easily accessible by public bus to Pembroke or Fort Coulonge, by Moose Transport (backpackers' budget transportation company) or by an Esprit shuttle from Ottawa/Gatineau.

A bountiful rotation of pancakes and bacon, eggs and ham, French toast and sausage... all accompanied by hashbrowns, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffe and tea. Cost: $8/person
Lunch:
Both on and off the river, our lunches have yet to be surpassed. A sensational array of fresh vegetables, deli meats, home baked bread, a wide variety of condiments and delicious fresh fruit. Cost: $12/person
Dinner:
Treat yourself to the Esprit “Ultimate Barb-que” dinner. Your guides will serve up your choice of blackened Cajun salmon, Thai marinated chicken breast, orange-ginger sesame shrimp kabob, Maple-Chipotle bar-b-que ribs, succulent Bourbon Peppercorn Steak grilled to perfection or our chef’s selection vegetarian dish. Save room as our decadent, world famous, desserts will be served on the deck. Cost: $25/person
